The WCCSA is a non-profit, non-religious, and non-political organization.  The missions of the WCCSA are: 

• To serve as a platform for Chinese Canadian faculty members in the Region of Waterloo to express their interests and concerns, and to represent their needs and perspectives to the wider community.

• To facilitate professional development among Chinese Canadian faculty members, by providing networking opportunities, mentoring, and resources that will help them advance their careers and achieve their goals.

• To promote the contribution of Chinese Canadian scholars to the society and local community, by recognizing their achievements, supporting their research, and encouraging their participation in public discourse and civic engagement.

•  To advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion among all Canadians, by promoting awareness of issues related to race, ethnicity, and culture, and by working towards creating a more equitable and just society for all.
